A 3/8" thick solid steel plate door, the thickest in its class, with a dual steel body featuring 11-gauge outer and 12-gauge inner steel barriers reinforced with concrete (DryLight), offers protection the competition can't match. Paired with four-way bolt work and Active 4x Locking System, the BFX6024 provides a level of security typically found in commercial-grade safes, leading to its UL RSC Level 1 burglary rating.
Independently tested by ETL, this safe offers a proven 2 hours of fire resistance at 1200°F, double the rating of many competitors. The dual fire seals and proprietary DryLight fill technology keep internal temperatures safely below 350°F, the temperature at which paper begins to char, ensuring your valuables are protected against extreme heat and smoke.

Materials Used For The BFX6024
- Proprietary DryLight Insulation: A seamless, poured concrete-based composite provides superior fire protection compared to standard drywall insulation and reinforces the safe's structure.
- Dual Door Seals: A heat-expanding seal (Palusol) that swells when exposed to high temperatures, plus a high-temperature silicone seal prevent flames and smoke from seeping into the interior of the safe.
- Heavy-Duty Steel Construction: Features a 2" thick composite body with dual steel barriers and a solid 3/8" thick solid steel plate door, creating a nearly impenetrable barrier.
- "Active 4x" Locking Bolt System: Fourteen massive 1.5-inch diameter chrome-plated steel bolts engage on all four sides of the door, driven by a smooth, gear-driven mechanism for maximum pry resistance.
- Three-Stage Lock Protection: A hardened steel hardplate, a glass plate trigger, and a spring-loaded relocker work in concert to deadbolt the mechanism if the lock is attacked.
BFX6024 Certifications
- The BFX6024 is an ETL-certified, fire-rated gun safe. It can help protect/withstand temperatures up to 1200°F for at least 120 minutes. This is the highest/best certification ETL can grant within the fire-resistance category.
- With a UL RSC Level 1 security rating, the BFX6024 has withstood tampering and pry tests utilizing mechanical and electrical hand tools to break into the safe.
